COURSE: CLINICAL BIOLOGY OF ACHES AND PAINS

Clinical Biology of Aches and PainsTwo day course.

The course provides a shop-floor perspective on how relevant pain related science can help us understand our patients better, guide our management of them more efficiently and begin to inform them more confidently about their problems and options. The aim is also to provides a stepping stone for physiotherapists who are keen to see a much bigger and more scientifically rational perspective to everyday pain states.

COURSE: GRADED EXPOSURE

Graded ExposureThis is a two day lecture, clinical reasoning and problem solving course. For many physiotherapists the 'graded-exposure approach will be a refreshing relief from standard treatments and methods taught. It is very much a 'patient-orientated' and 'evidence-based' method.

Graded Exposure puts into practice the issues discussed in the clinical biology of aches and pains course. While it is advantageous to have done the 'aches and pains' first, it is not essential.

COURSE: THE NERVE ROOT

The Nerve RootTwo day course.

Nerve root pains like sciatica and brachialgia are very common, can be difficult to help, are frequently misdiagnosed and poorly managed. Patients are often distressed and confused. This straightforward highly practical course provides the participant with all the necessary tools to recognise, understand and manage nerve root related pain better. The course integrates practical hands on assessment and management combined with the approaches discussed in the graded exposure and aches and pains courses.
